Nichole and Dino | A romantic glamorous wedding | NEPA wedding | South New Jersey wedding photographer
Meet Nichole and Dino. I have had the pleasure of knowing Nichole for a few years now. I have had the opportunity to capture many moments for her including her daughter's first communion photos, her other daughter's senior portraits, and I have also been honored with the opportunity to photograph her love story unfold. Nichole had asked me to photograph her and her love, Dino, during the fall of 2016. The love these two share with each other was evident the second they first stepped in front of my camera lens.
Fast-forward a few years and I was honored to photograph this beautiful couple again except this time their was a gorgeous ring on her finger and a wedding date within the year.
I photographed Nichole and Dino's engagement shoot this last August. It was a gorgeous day on the Jersey shore. With the sun setting against the sand dunes, the ocean, and light blue sky it created some beautiful shots of the couple (Click Here for a glimpse of the photos and short blog post I wrote from that day).
In between the sound of the waves crashing, Nichole and Dino dancing in the sand, and the click of my camera lens I asked the couple what they envisioned for their wedding day. They both decided they wanted a glamorous Great Gatsby 1920's era themed wedding at the Stegmaier Mansion in Wilkes-Barre, PA. They wanted their special day to consist of a lavish dinner, cocktails, bourbon, and dancing to live jazz music. And that is exactly what they did.
The Stegmaier Mansion was the perfect venue for Nichole and Dino. The mansion completely encompassed their Great Gatsby vision and is one of my personal favorite wedding venue's to photograph. Every little detail put into their wedding day was eloquent and glamorous with that 1920's vibe. Nichole's wedding planner, Ashlee Martinelli of Every Little Thing, LLC, did a beautiful job putting all the pieces together!
Nichole's beautiful bridesmaids consisted of her daughters, Dino's daughter, and her best friend. Nichole's bouquet wasn't your traditional bouquet, but a more sentimental piece that combined broaches passed down from her grandmother, broaches from her friends, and special treasures she has collected throughout life.
While the girls got ready and sipped on mimosas, Dino and the groomsmen were getting ready just down the hall.
Dino's handsome groomsmen consisted of his son, Nichole's father, and two of his closest friends. The men all looked dapper in their black tuxedos and grey vests as they drank bourbon, relaxed, and chatted amongst each other.
From the mansion, we traveled over to the church, Exaltation Holy Cross Church in Hanover Twp., where they had a full catholic ceremony. They exchanged handwritten vows that perfectly described the way they felt for each other and created a true ambiance of love during the ceremony.
The bridal party was a combination of family and friends.
After the ceremony I captured the first few moments of the newly weds. You can truly feel the love through these photographs. Dino twirled his gorgeous bride, and they exchanged affectionate moments between each other. The weather was beautiful on their special day, but it was also very hot and humid. We needed to cool off. Dino in his full suit and Nichole in her heavy ball gown were so hot we couldn't do any more photos outdoors! I captured a few moments with the stunning mansion backdrop, and then we hurried inside for air conditioning and the festivities to continue.
The reception began with a cocktail hour. Guests sipped on bourbon and cocktails. Hors d'oeuvres were passed around the room. Piano music filled the air, and Nichole's daughter, Taylor, sang for everyone. Nichole and Dino mingled with guests and enjoyed themselves.
Nichole and Dino shared their first dance to live Jazz music.
The band they chose for their wedding was actually a band they've heard before while on vacation. They loved the band so much they asked if they did weddings and they did! The band, Soggy Po' Boys, traveled all the way from New Hampshire to play at their wedding!
The ribbon around the couple's cake was a ribbon from Nichole's company lion ribbon. The centerpieces on the tables were exquisite and were just one of many details that really gave that Gatsby vibe.
The bride danced with her parents, and her new husband. Nichole's youngest daughter, Melody, performed a graceful dance for the bride and groom. Melody was later joined by her friend for the dance. There were toasts of love and laughter and overall it was a very beautiful celebration.

Nicole and Dino, I am honored to have watched your love story unfold. I enjoyed being a part of this day and being able to capture these moments for you. I wish you both nothing but love, laughter, and happiness.
