Jessica and Hunter Engaged!
I met Jessica and Hunter this past April at Starbucks. They were looking for a wedding photographer and we agreed to meet and chat more about their plans. I was excited to have been chosen to be their photographer. I am looking forward to their wedding in September 2020 at the Sea Isle Yacht Club.
These two met during their freshman year of college at Stockton University. Hunter had many friends on the floor below Jessica and hung out there often. Jessica started to spend more time on that floor towards the end of the semester and the two happened to meet each other on the last few days of the semester. Hunter asked Jessica out a few weeks later and they began dating shortly after that. It has been a true love story ever since then.
It made my heart melt when I heard about Hunter's proposal to Jessica. They had moved in together and had talked about waiting to get engaged. Hunter knew one thing...Jessica wanted to be surprised. The day they went to pick out their first Christmas tree together was the day Hunter chose to surprise Jessica. He had visited the tree farm earlier, picked out a tree, and decorated it. When they arrived later they walked around looking at trees until they came to "their tree". Hunter said hey let's get a photo in front of it. He then set up his go pro to take a video and turned to Jessica and proposed. Hunter truly surprised Jessica. And she loved the tree he had picked out!
The two love to fish, ride bikes, visiting state parks, going to the beach, watching Netflix, going out to eat, and taking naps! He loves her smile and Jessica loves how Hunter will do anything to make her happy.
Jessica spends a lot of time at the Rutgers's Marine Field station doing research and wanted to use that location for their engagement session. They love nature and like the marsh colors. I ask all my couples if they have a favorite spot or a place that means something to them. I was excited to see the field station. The wooden bridges made me a tad nervous but once there it was perfect. We did some photos on the marsh, docks and, boats. They were truly in their element and you could see their happiness the whole time!
We had a beautiful evening and they did a perfect job. They passed the posing 101 class...ha ha! They were nervous but once we started they were naturals.
I love this time I get to spend with my couples. Engagement sessions are part of the Memories by Maria Photography Wedding Experience!!
