I met Jacob, his dog and his parents at Nescopeck State Park on a beautiful, sunny morning. I spent a few minutes talking to his mom about some things she wanted and a little about Jacob. Then off we went. We had a senior session to do...and I love senior sessions!
Crestwood High School
We spent time walking around the lake taking shots her and there. I love the rustic bridge at the park. It has become one of my favorite spots.
Jacob's mom had a couple of requests. The first was to get a couple of Jacob and his dog. No problem, I am a dog lover myself and know how they become part of the family.
The other request was an idea she had seen on pinterest. I had Jacob hold his kindergarten graduation picture. It is a neat idea to show how much they have changed.
We found some other cool spots by the visitor center at the park. Jacob was a trooper. Most guys aren't big on having their photos taken. He did every pose idea, some with a smile. These are some of my favorites.
This next picture I love. It makes me love my job and I get excited when I capture a great shot. I personally think he should call an agent.
Thank you Jacob for choosing me to capture this special time in your life. I wish you much luck and success in your future. Enjoy your senior year.
Nikol and Greg couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to get married. The weather at the end of September can be a hit or miss. Well, they scored a big hit. It was a warm, sunny day..perfect for a wedding!
About two weeks before their wedding I took some bridal shots for Nikol. We went to Penn State Campus in Hazelton. We had another beautiful day. These are some of my favorites.
They were married at one of my favorite spots, Hickory Run State Park. I love the little chapel there and you couldn't ask for a prettier place to take photos!
I love this next photo that I took just before Nikol and her daughter were going to walk down the aisle.
Their ceremony was sweet with Nikol's daughter watching her mom the whole time. After the sand ceremony an and a kiss they became Mr and Mrs!
We had some time after the ceremony to get some photos at the chapel and on the trails before they headed to a family dinner. These are some of my favorites.
Nikol and Greg...may you have a liftetime of love, laughter and happiness. I felt honored that you chose me to capture this special day for you.
Kayla and I had been planning this shoot for months. We met to talk about it and exchanged several pinterest ideas. We chose Francis Solcum State Park to do the session. The fall colors were just starting to turn and the evening was perfect. There are many pretty spots at the park.
Kayla and Joe were very easy to work with. Kayla had some ideas and mixed with my ideas we had a successful engagement session.
We walked down a trail and found a pretty spot where the bushes were almost creating an arch. The lighting was great and these shots turned out perfect.
Francis Solcum State Park has so many different spots from open fields, woodsy trails, lakefront and ponds. I love the ones we took by the water. While I was checking out spots before I met Kayla and Joe there was a white crane that was standing in the pond. I wish he would've stuck around to get his picture taken too.
Just before we left the sun was starting to set. It was peeking over the top of some hills so I said to Kayla and Joe....just a couple more. I wanted to capture the sun setting in some of the shots.
Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for letting me capture this special time in your life. I look forward to your wedding day in 2015! I am sure it will be a beautiful day.
I traveled up to Binghamton, Ny to photograph a friend, Mirela and her family. I had traveled by this park on the side of Rt 81 many times on my way to Syracuse and was excited to finally have a reason to stop and check it out.
Otsiningo Park is a beautiful park that is right by the Susquehanna River. There are many weeping willow trees, a big pond, lots of geese and lots of geese poop!!
Mirela and I used to work together and I haven't seen her in a few years so when she contacted me about doing her family photos I was delighted! I got to meet her husband and two little girls.
Her girls are too cute. Danika was more interested in where the playground was but I managed to get a couple of good smiles from her!
I love these two pictures. The expression on her face is precious.
Thank you Mirela for letting me capture this time in your life. You have a beautiful family and it was so nice to see you again.
This senior session was extra special for me to do. Erin is my best friends daughter, who was born exactly 364 days after my daughter. It has been fun watching her grow up and was excited to do her Senior pictures. I traveled to Oneonta, NY for this session. It was a beautiful late summer day.
We started the photo session in Erin's backyard. We had to trek up a hill, step through the mud to get to the pile of rocks that I wanted to have Erin sit on. We also found some other neat spots up in the woods behind her house.
Erin's mom wanted to go to Erin's school to get some shots by the school. Erin didn't like this idea much...but we went anyway. On our way out of the school yard we saw a walking path with a bridge. We decided to go there instead. I love these shots.
When doing senior sessions we have the extra time to change outfits and change locations. We headed downtown to find an alley. We found a perfect spot. I love the old brick and destressed look. It really makes for interesting backgrounds.
We had one more spot we wanted to try so we headed towards a creek that ran through town and crossed over some railroad tracks. I said "Erin, it would look awesome if you sat on the tracks." She was a bit nervous at first, but when she saw how neat the pictures looked she started to relax. I think these couple are my favorite shots.
Erin, Thank you for letting me capture this special time in your life. You are a beautiful young lady and I know you will do great things in your future.
