I grew up with a photographer, my dad. He took pictures of his family, flowers and bugs! As a kid we would sit through slide shows waiting for the one or two photos of us. Most of the pictures were of flowers, bugs or bugs on flowers. We would say no more flowers!! I find it funny now how I love to take photos of the beautiful flowers that I see around me. These are some of my favorite flowers from this spring.
What I have learned is to take time to appreciate the beauty in all things and to take time to smell the flowers. Thanks Dad.
I had the opportunity to photograph my godchild who was expecting her second child. We met at a park near Onondaga Lake in New York called the Butterfly Gardens. All the trees where in bloom. So despite the cloudy skies and the chilly temperatures we had the perfect spot to get some photos of Morgan and her growing family.
Morgan, Josh and Lila.....and one on the way!
Morgan was just glowing and was so excited about welcoming the new addition to their family. When these were taken Morgan was hoping she would have the baby any day. Well....one month later they welcomed baby Kyndall!
Congratulations and enjoy your new baby girl. Thank you for letting me capture a special time in your life.
Ashley and I talked about this photo session for months. So when the day finally came we were a little excited. Ashley and Mike were willing to do whatever I had in mind...so we had a fun time.
I had found a great place for the photos so we headed over hoping that the sun would come out and the rain would stop..and guess what? The sun came out and the rain stopped. It was perfect.
Ashley and Mike, congratulations on your engagement and have fun planning for your big day. I am looking forward to your wedding in May 2015. Block Island, RI is gorgeous and I can't wait to see you in your dress. Thank you for letting me capture this time for you.
Pretty Easter dress
Pretty little two year old
Sounds like cute pictures to me...
Two year olds don't sit for long...so off we go
smelling flowers, chasing ducks, hugging trees and running in circles.
I loved capturing this time in her life. So happy and carefree.
And...such a pretty Easter dress.
